WARNING: Release 1.0.8 will most likely be the last standalone 
         release.  Check out gnome-doc-utils module from Gnome CVS for 
	 later versions.

This is a tool written in Python for extracting PO files from
free-form XML documents, not requiring any changes to XML files
themselves.

It also merges translations back trying to preserve as much as
possible of data it doesn't touch (comments, declarations, ... are all
preserved, unless they interfere with merging process).

Version 1.0.0 was never actually 1.0.0 -- it was simply the first
thing that was made available.  It's tarred up only so it doesn't
pollute directory listing (and with it not being recommended any more,
no need to look at it).
